WWCM Development Director, Lori Towner, said Western Wake Crisis Ministry is delighted to team up with the NC Courage to help “give hunger the boot” here in western Wake County this summer. “Hunger knows no season, and during the summer months food pantries like Western Wake Crisis Ministry often see a drop in donations but a rise in need. It is only with the help and support of individuals, businesses, and groups like the NC Courage organization, that WWCM can meet the food pantry needs of our neighbors in crisis. We are incredibly grateful to the NC Courage organization and to everyone who donates food at the game. Your contributions will truly be making a difference in the lives of your neighbors in need.”
For 34 years, Western Wake Crisis Ministry has been providing Apex and western Wake County food pantry and emergency financial assistance to neighbors in need. In 2016 Western Wake Crisis Ministry distributed 265,138 pounds of food to our neighbors in need.
